Send to a FriendSetting extreme goals for yourself will most likely guarantee failure, so I recommend setting goals that are more realistic. Instead of denying yourself all the goodies you enjoy for the rest of your life, try these tips to help you get into the shape you have always dreamed of:
Move Your Body. Physical activity comes in all forms. Just 30 minutes a day will decrease stress, burn calories and amp up your metabolism. Don’t feel the pressure to chain yourself to a gym…which, as in most cases, within a few months will have you quitting. I strongly believe in dancing! Put on some music and dance around your kitchen if you have to. The time will go by quickly, and you won’t even realize the amount of calories you are burning. My kitchen is on two levels, and I often use the step down to the lower part as an opportunity to exercise. While the television is on, I often do step aerobics right there in the kitchen! Be creative. Exercise doesn’t have to be expensive.

Send to a FriendBecause of this slow economy, many more people will be vying for the same positions. What we wear to a job interview is a “clue” about ourselves that we want the world to discover. The more polished and professional we appear, the sooner we’ll be on our way to new career opportunities. Investing in the right “power outfit” is an investment in our future.
This New Year brings lots of changes. Expectations are higher…the business climate is much more competitive and demanding. Therefore, standing out is much more important now than it was 10 years ago. You will want your first impression to be great, not just good. According to Kim Zoller at Image Dynamics, 55% of how you are perceived is on how you look. This is what the employer first notices about you.
A neat male wearing a suit and tie to an interview will make a much better impression than someone who is wearing jeans and a t-shirt, even if the job environment is casual.

Send to a Friend*Well, it’s another new year, and if you are still feeling bad about yourself, here’s some good advice: change your image! Once you get your outside reflecting what you have on the inside, you will be amazed at how many other things fall into place..…higher self esteem, job opportunities, and perhaps even that special relationship.
Case in point:
When you stroll through a department store and notice the displays, do they entice you to look at a certain outfit? They should, because that is what they are intended to do. Those displays are put there to tempt you to spend money. Why? Because it is called “Salesmanship” Ever since that pushcart owner polished his fruit and vegetables in order for them to sell faster, image has played an important role in the bottom line.
So should you!!!!
It doesn’t have to cost a lot…there are plenty of budget friendly image resolutions that you should make this year to help you achieve your goals. Here are just a few:

Send to a Friend In a situation like this, I like to take a cue from the likes of Audrey Hepburn, who always looked flawless, no matter what the occasion. Keep your outfit chic and simple and you will fit in anywhere. You can’t go wrong with the LBD (little black dress)!! No matter what your size, there is something for you. Speigel and Newport News (through their catalogues or online) carry a line called Shape FX, which flatters all shapes and sizes with camouflaging contours. There is no reason to look frumpy anymore.

Send to a FriendDon’t give up!! Just a few small changes can dramatically improve your self-image. First, many people, in seeking out love, tend to look outward rather than inward. Falling in love with yourself can be just as wonderful an experience as falling in love with someone else. This is not conceited or selfish…

Send to a FriendWell, let’s start with a DO list:
DO spend on jeans that fit really well, meaning not baggy in the butt. They should hug the butt, but not too tightly. You should invest in two styles: a lighter pair to wear casually with a nice sweater or shirt, and a darker, more fitted straightleg to wear with a blazer (a must ), for a more formal, polished look. This look will work almost anywhere,
